   Before we leap into 2020, let's remember 2019 for a moment. The word "Sustainability" was on every person's lips in the apparel and textile industry. The big brands struggled to survive in this B2C retail climate and new emerging brands tried to meet the new standards of “Sustainability” as a part of their business model. C onsumers have become increasingly conscious about their purchases. We now know we have the power to make a difference for the people involved in the making of our clothes and goods. But we are even more concern with the materials used to make our clothes and goods and how it effects our planet.  Q uite a few sustainability initiatives were announced in 2020. Brands, retailers and manufacturers want to operate their  businesses more responsibly. Let's see if 2020 we can really make a change for humanity and our planet. This Fashion Lion is for all my R&B fans, you can not talk about style and fashion without the mention of  Monica . I'm a little bit older than Monica but I feel like I grew up with her. She is always dressed in the later designer fashions, but never following trends. The one thing I admire about Monica is her sense of  style and how confident she is in her own skin. She is a Fashion Lion and role model to many and this Fashion Lion take her position seriously. Monica is a mother of three beautiful children, wife, artist and businesswomen.  Happy Monday Guys! I hope you had an fantastic summer. I've had the pleasure of attending many fashion related events these hot summer months and the guys are wining! Summer time is the  hardest  time to stay cool and look put together when its 90 plus degrees outside. So when I see a guy in a suit looking great with all the elements working against him I have to take notice. This summer I made people watching a game, but just watching the guys. FUNKSHION: Swim Fashion Week Miami Beach 2016 July 13-17 Before I get into all the goodies, I just have to say I have a new appreciation for swimsuit models. "Yes, I said it! I was so excited to attend FUNKSHION Swim Fashion Week in Miami Beach this year. The FUNKSHION tent was the largest climate controlled venue located one block for the beautiful Miami Beach.   It’s been about 8 years since I wore a white dress or blazer. This disenchantment started 8 years ago when I had my son! (I love him) But I was always conscious of this dirty little hands and how I was always wiping them. White around him Never! But he's eight and he knows to keep those dirty hands of the furniture, walls and me. I really like the whole white all year round movement.
