M.E.F. Style Report

 On February 11th, Romeo Hunte New York presented the Fall/Winter 18' collection during a runway show at The Standard, High Line. The lines were long  to get in the show and its was raining, but so worth it. I was so impressed  with as  many as 29 models of African American ethnicity or decent strutted down the runway in shearling, fox furs, mixed fur with patchwork, PVC, and reversible raincoats, cropped jackets. The space was intimate but for a reason not one detail went unnoticed. The guests  300 editors, influencers , bloggers and fashionista watched this amazing parade. Romeo Hunte was one of my favorite show this season, j ob well done definitely a brand to watch.

Hello Guys, I'm back and today is Menswear Monday. This subject is a little touchy but necessary before the fall season approaches. How do you wear Leather Pants? Lol!! Yes I'm back!! The million dollar question is why Leather Pants? Well, I can't tell you why but I can give you my opinion on how those Leather Pants should look.  Any man who chooses to wear leather pants has his own expectation. Whether he wants to feel sexy, mucho or fashionable in his mind Leather Pants will give him that look. This is definitely a confident purchase, this guy is very sure about himself and is not afraid of what anyone thinks. We really like this guy for his boldness and confidence, he is definitely a Fashion Lion. But before I sing all his praises the look must be well thought out. Lions are known for watching and observing before they go in for the kill. These Fashion Lions Killed it!!

Hello Guys, Men's Wear Monday is here, I know its still cold in most places. But in the fashion world spring is here. If you are out and about in your favorite stores you will see spring collections are on the racks . The stores are ready for the Easter outfits and the spring break shopping. "So I thought this was the perfect time to talk  about the walking short. I've never been a fan of a men is short shorts or super baggy shorts. I will always love the walking shorts. Let me give you some reason, 1. you show just enough leg ( upper thigh is a bit to much leg) 2. Its both causal or dressy 3.A classic style 4. Every brand has a walking short 5.You can carry your wallet and keys with ease 6. I just love them! Off course I like what I like, but you know what's best for you just please, NO Short Shorts !        

Happy Men's Wear Monday I'm back! "So lets get down to business, the spring 2016 collections are is the stores now! I couldn't help but notice the color palettes for men's blazers is a crazy explosion of skittles color candy! I walked the mall for exercise off course and I was drawn to the blazers , the colors were new ,playful, fresh and bold. My eyes are were unsure how to respond, so I guy watched in one of my favorite department store. Guess what? They were trying on all the different colors  the  salmon, yellow, pink, mint green, purple etc. I was shocked and very entertained. Some guys were happy and excited to see the colors but some were down right offended by all the color.   I definitely agree with both sides, not a good place to be as a stylist, but it's all depends on you. If colorful blazers is not your thing its ok! But if you like color and pinks and yellows don't scare you than Happ...

Happy Men's Wear Monday Well guys its been 2 weeks, I hope you've been making some good fashion decisions without me. I'm working on some amazing projects for 2016. I can't wait to share! Now down to business!! As you all know I'm truly vested in your style. I see a world of all fashion lions. The Vest is and article of clothing that is always there in every store, not fussy at all . You really don't have to break the bank to add one or two to your wardrobe .I personally feel like every guy should own a vest. The vest may be that one piece that ties your look together. It goes well with  slacks or jeans and a button down shirt. You still look  put together without having to wear a blazer. I love a little swag with the vest off course color, texture and style. A fashion Lion know his style, so shop your favorite brands if you don't already have one.      

Happy Men' Wear Monday!   The Three Piece Suit has been trending for a few years now. I love this shift of more men getting dress up in suits. Suits are no longer for funerals, weddings and interviews it can be your everyday look casual or formal. Guys you have more options now , so can get dress up and still look and feel like themselves. The Three Piece Suit is for a men that can wear the suit not the suit wearing him. I say this because you have three major items the blazer, vest and slacks. This look can easily swallow you up. So you have to be confident and find the right suit to fit your style. Happy Men's Wear Monday!   Lets get down to business, time is of the essence! Lol!  Lets talk about your time piece. The watch is one of the accessories you most have in your wardrobe. Actually, you need more the one. You most have an everyday watch, and a dressy watch a splurge usually a brand like Gucci, Omega, Rolex, Cartier, TAG Heuer etc.      Your watch tells so much about your personal. For one a watch tells how serious you are about your time.( It gives you BOSS Status).  In a world of unlimited technology you don't have to wear a watch, but you should!! A watch  completes your look, it makes you look professional, smart and mature. Grow up and get a watch, stop depending on your cell phone or the clock in your car. Get dress and don't forget your time piece.            

Happy Men’s Wear Monday Straight Jeans verses Skinny Jeans! Guys you always have choice. You should never feel like you have to keep up with times by wearing clothes that makes you look or feel uncomfortable.  Please remember it’s all about your personal style and taste. Skinny Jeans are not for every man. And "Yes" I'm Pro Straight Jeans, but if skinny jeans are worn right, on the right body type they can be fashionable, stylish etc. I do not believe there is an age limited to how you should dress, but I do believe your body type should have a lot to do with what type of clothes you wear. I know I'm always pushing you to be a fashion lions by this topic is super sensitive. Some days I want to walk around the city with spare pairs of straight jeans for those guys that got it wrong that day. It's not their fault, it could be their egos, girlfriend or boyfriend giving them very bad advice. Or maybe they just got caught...
